This is a really nice way to have tuna. Its my husband’s favorite. He asks for every time we have tuna in stock.
2 pieces tuna steak
2 small potatoes (peeled and sliced)
1 onion (peeled and sliced)
1 clove garlic (crushed)
1 inch ginger (julienned)
3 green bird eye chillies crushed using the side of your knife
1 stick cinnamon
1 tsp mild curry mix
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
hot boiling water
3 tbsp groundnut oil
Heat the groundnut oil in a frying pan. Fry the potatoes in a single layer and turn after a couple minutes. Lift into a dish. Next sear the tuna steaks a couple of minutes each side. Lift the steaks into a dish. Next fry the garlic, ginger and the onion. Add the cinnamon stick and chillies. Add the curry mix and stir. Then add the tuna steaks and potatoes. Stir well. Add the boiling water, soy sauce and oyster sauce.
Served w quinoa and stir fry vegetables.
